چکیده
Abstract Forming of tires during production is a challenging process for Lagrangian solid mechanics due to large changes in the geometry and material properties rubber layers. This paper extends Arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian (ALE) formulation thermomechanical inelastic models with special consideration rubber. The ALE approach based on tracking spatial meshes used, an operator-split employed which splits up solution within time step into mesh smoothing step, history remapping step. Mesh distortion reduced by solving boundary value problem. History variables are subsequently remapped new particle scheme. Within steps, fully coupled problem solved. An advanced two-phase model incorporated approach, can describe green rubber, cured transition process. Several numerical examples demonstrate superior behavior developed comparison purely finite elements.

15 صفحه اولDevelopment and Application of an ALE Large Deformation Formulation
This paper presents a complete derivation and implementation of the Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) formulation for the simulation of nonlinear static and dynamic problems in solid mechanics. While most of the previous work done on ALE for dynamic applications was mainly based on operator split and explicit calculations, this work derives the quasi-static and dynamic ALE equations in its si...
متن کاملCompressible Fluid-flow Ale Formulation on Changing Topology Meshes for Aeroelastic Simulations
The analysis of unsteady fluid flows on moving domains is a very complex task, that may be often tackled using domain remeshing techniques. In the present paper a novel mesh movement strategy is presented. It is based on the blending of simple local edge-swapping with mesh deformation by means of the elastic analogy. To deal with mesh topology changes an extension of the classical Arbitary Lagr...
متن کاملA hyperelastodynamic ALE formulation based on referential, spatial and material settings of continuum mechanics
The present contribution aims at providing a variational arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) framework for hyperelastostatic as well as hyperelastodynamic problem classes. To this end, a fixed third configuration, the ALE reference or intrinsic configuration, has to be introduced next to the moving spatial and material configuration. The essential idea of the present work is the reformulation o...
متن کاملA comparative study of interface reconstruction methods for multi-material ALE simulations
In this paper we compare the performance of different methods for reconstructing interfaces in multi-material compressible flow simulations. The methods compared are a material-order-dependent Volume-of-Fluid (VOF) method, a material-orderindependent VOF method based on power diagram partitioning of cells and the Moment-of-Fluid method (MOF). We demonstrate that the MOF method provides the most...
